Industrial and manufacturing is where ASTC’s founders started their own careers before moving into search — Dinesh Arya, an IIT Bombay engineer, ran manufacturing operations for decades before recruiting leaders for them. That operating background shapes how we assess candidates in this sector: on shop-floor credibility as much as strategic capability.
We recruit plant heads, operations directors, general managers and functional leadership — supply chain, quality, manufacturing excellence — for businesses ranging from greenfield sites to established multi-plant operations. Common mandates include leadership for a new facility being commissioned, succession for a retiring plant head, or a general manager who can professionalise operations in a business scaling past its founder-led origins.
We look for candidates who have actually run a P&L on a factory floor, not just advised one, and who can hold safety, quality and output targets simultaneously under real production pressure.
