Engineering and projects leadership hiring centres on people who can deliver complex, multi-year builds on time and on budget — a discipline distinct from steady-state operations management. ASTC recruits project directors, engineering heads and business leadership for EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) contractors and infrastructure-focused businesses.
We look for candidates with a demonstrated record managing project schedules, contractor and vendor networks, and the inevitable disputes and delays that come with large capital projects, alongside the commercial acumen to protect margin on fixed-price or milestone-based contracts.
Because this sector often runs multiple simultaneous projects across different geographies, we assess a candidate’s ability to manage through others — site-level teams and subcontractors they may never meet in person — rather than relying on their own hands-on presence at every stage of a build.
